Cooler Master V8 or Cooler Master Vortex Plus

I want to know which CPU cooler is better,the Cooler Master V8 or the Cooler Master Vortex Plus!.Thanks!

the 120mm v8 is way better than the 92mm Vortex.

Like most 120mm solutions, it will not fit in all cases so make sure you have the room for it.

The only reason I have a V8 in my system is because I got it on sale for $37, and the only 212 EVO in the store was an open box.

Im gonna use the Intel I5 3570k and im gonna use it for gaming and for overclocking.The case is Antec 900

Of the two you suggested, the V8 is by far the superior cooler, and I have seen people who have combined it with the Antec 900 case, so it should fit.


Additionally, since the case you're getting has a window, the V8 just looks cooler... IMO, of course. 😀

Scenario: My current PSU is 400w running with Icore 5 and GTX 650 TI OC. My problem is I already bought cooler master gemini2 for better cooling on my cpu (processor). Is 400w psu enough or i need to increase my psu wattage??? Thanks.

You really should have started your own thread rather than ask a question in someone elses (this is whats known as hijacking a thread) but to answer your question if your 400w psu is already running your system fine then adding in an aftermarket cooler like the geminII will make no difference. fans use about 4w or less which is nothing.
