Hi guys, I am building my first PC and I am having some trouble choosing a heatsink and fan for my CPU.

i have an AMD Piledriver FX-8 8350 Black Edition AM3+ CPU and I am looking for something better that AMD's stock heatsink. A quiet and effective cooling device, my budget is £80.

I also have a Thermaltake Armour A30 case, the specs of which state that the case only supports coolers up to 90mm tall and isn't watercooling friendly.

Any suggestions?

Motherboard: Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 (AM3+ Socket)
CPU: AMD Piledriver FX-8 8350 Black Edition 4GHz (AM3+ Socket)
Case: Thermaltake Armour A30

"For £80 you can get a kick-ass cooler! I recommend the NH-D14. From personal experience, it's an awesome cooler!

For £65 it's as good as those high end watercoolers, and runs much quieter than them."

Thanks sophiebeth100, i looked into it and the NH-D14 seems awesome! unfortunately its too tall (140mm), the case can only support up to 90mm.

"this would be better than d14

CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X40 98.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (£77.28 @ Scan.co.uk)"

thanks for the suggestion Sn1992 but i dont think i'll be able to mod the case to be able to support watercooling
