Hi Guys, I'm hoping someone could help me. My computer has arrived today.

I have a COOLERMASTER MASTERBOX MB530P RGB GAMING CASE. Which has 3 RGB fans at the front that all light up nicely. Now I knew the fan at the back of this case did not light up before I bought it. So I decided to get a Cooler Master MasterFan MF120R ARGB 120mm from Amazon so I could have more lights. My motherboard is the ASUS® TUF X570-PLUS GAMING (USB 3.2 Gen 2, PCIe 4.0, CrossFireX) - RGB Ready!.

Now I was hoping it would be as easy as connecting the fan to the motherboard or even wherever the front 3 fans go because I'm not very good with the insides of computers. I've connected the new fan and it's not lighting up. It has a connects to 4-pins...so I connected it to the same place the original rear fan was connected...CHA_FAN1. But it doesn't light up. Is there anywhere on the motherboard I could have this connected to and light up or do I have to buy some sort of controller I've been reading about? I've spent so much and was hoping to avoid that really.

Please let me know if you guys have any tips. Thank you!

P.S Forgive me for being a total noob..thanks.

EDIT: Turns out I had some extenders and it works now. Only problem is I don't know how to change the colour on it as the front 3 are controlled by the button on the case. I read that you can change the colour using the motherboard...can I do that through a software? Both Coolmaster software just asked me to put in my controller.

Your motherboard has RGB headers which you will need to connect the fans to in order to control them via your motherboard. All of the fans you have are ARGB, which means that you will need to use the ARGB header on your motherboard. It is the white header to the right of the ram slots, directly above the big 24 pin motherboard power connector. Unfortunatly, your motherboard only has one argb header. Thus, you will need a 4 way argb splitter like this https://www.amazon.com/MICRO-CONNEC...+splitter&qid=1589308243&s=electronics&sr=1-2 your case comes with a splitter, but it only splits into 3. Using a splitter means that (I think at least) you will not be able to program the fans individually, but rather set one profile for all four of them. To control the rgb of the fans, you will need ASUSes software called " aura sync" https://www.wikihow.com/Download-Asus-Aura. And there you go, motherboard controlled RGB fans
