copper finish to inside of laptop

I've noticed that most laptops have a copper finnish on the inside of the cover / s why is this and can it be achieved with spray paint, ( copper finish )

The copper finish IS metalic copper with adhesive backing and a non-conductive overlay. That is to minimize the radio frequency interference (RFI) generated by the laptop. The manufacturer has to certify the amount of interference the device generates as part of the approvals for sale.
