Look into using Group Policy Management Console which has capabilities to do
copying and backups. You can use it from an XP domain machine to manage a
w2K domain. Also you should have a backup strategy in place. Backing up the
"System State" will back up your AD which can be restored via booting into
"AD restore mode" which is similar to safe mode. See links blow for more
