Copy of windows did not pass genuine windows validation

it says in my computer that my microsoft windows is not genuine..Can i fix this w/out purchasing ,is there a way fixing it free

I would call Microsoft and give them the serial number, sometimes they can tell why it's not genuine. If its because you had to use the serial a second time because you had to complete a fresh install or something... you can tell them that and they can give you a new serial number..

But don't lie to them lol... They can see how many times you have used a serial providing that that computer has been connected to the internet or completed updates. So be careful.
