Okay, I have dsl on my xp and dial up on my 98. So I wanna play Diablo 2
against a family member on the other computer. Since Diablo 2 takes three
discs for full installation, I can do that on both computers. I dont want to
have to go and buy another Diablo 2, so what can I do. I have tried using the
Nero disc copy for the disc need to play the game, and on data verification
it comes up with a bad sector, something about the disc having a different
source??? Though when I put the disc in the drive, it works fine and shows
the play game screen, but when you click on play it says there is no disc in
the drive. Is there anything I can do to copy the disc correctly so I can use
it on both computers at once??? Please let me know!

The EULA only allows the game to be used on one machine at a time. You'd
need another copy of the game to be legal, since it costs virtually nothing
now $8 that's not really a problem and would save you a lot of hassle.
