My windows XP system crashed and burned. I've checked out all my hardware
and found no faults. I've got XP on another computer that was connected to
the first via a network system. I can not get windows to boot up on my first
system. What I would like to know is how to salvage some of the programs and
information from my first system before I reformat it. I've decided, after
trying everything else, that formatting the drive and starting fresh is the
only way to fix the problems I'm having. I need to know if it's possible to
transfer information from the drive I can't boot up to my operating system?
If so how?

Much Obliged Mike :)

You can install the drive as a slave on the other system and
copy files. You'll probably need to "take ownership" of the
files and folder on the drive to do so.
