core i3 4150 reaching 95-100 degrees under load.

my cpu is overheating underload as it reaches 100+ degrees under load.my cooler is the stock intel cooler that comes with the processor.it has a copper ring on the middle.how can i check if my cooler is properly seated.all the bolts are tight and the cooler doesnt wiggle.whats e problem

Try re-applying the thermal paste by first removing all of it and then applying a pea size amount.
Make sure there's no gap b/w cooler and CPU.

Do the suggestion above but what case are you using what's your airflow setup like and did youbmamage your cabling at all ?

You did apply thermal paste before installing the cooler and you plugged in the fans power cable to the motherboard.

The problem with Intel's stock cooler is getting the "push pins" properly installed. The first thing most people do is to push on the top of the latch with one hand, which is the wrong thing to do.

It takes two hands. First step is to push on a "leg" with one hand and hold it firmly in place to make sure that it's seated all the way down onto the front of the motherboard, which ensures that it's "pin" is inserted completely through to the back of the motherboard. While continuing to hold the leg in place with your first hand, the second step is use your second hand to push on the top of the "latch" which will expand the locking mechanism inside the "pin" on the back of the motherboard.

Next, go to the opposite leg, not an adjacent leg, and repeat the process. Last, secure the remaining legs. If you did it right, the cooler should be seated flat and securely attached in all four corners, and you should not be able to make it wiggle.

Also, what is your ambient temperature?

managed to get the temps to 71 degrees under load is this too much

That's on the warm side but still under limits. I hope you're telling the full load temp. You'd be good to go with that temp unless you use it like on 100% all the time.

i get betwwen 68-71 degrees when playing games.it idles @ 30-35 degrees

Check your CPU usage when you get those temps, using Task Manager. If its in 85-100% range, then you're good. Also, your Idle temps are fine

just played metro last light using ma intel hd graphics got around 70-75 degrees with usage being around 75% is tghis ok
