Self built. all l seems to be working perfectly but unfortunately my PSU did not come with (due to packaging error I'm sure) a 4 pin CPU power connector so I am running my Broadwell-E 6850K w/ slight OC to 4.0 on a single 8 PIN EATX12v connector.

I live several hours outside of nearest place where I can acquire the aforementioned cable. Is this something I need to do urgently or am I ok with the CPU running off the the single 8 pin power connector while the 4 pin is not used?

Thanks in advance for any advice offered.

Unless you were really pushing your OC with LN2 or something you won't need that extra 4 pin. It's really just for added stability in the event that you were doing some extreme OCing which you wouldn't do anyway for an everyday use computer.

I have an extremely similar setup, and with your slight overclock you should still be OK (though if something does come up under a heavier load, suspect that first and drop back to stock).

Corsair is pretty solid on support though, and they will ship it to you directly (or to a forwarder if they can't get you directly where you are) if you register the product.
