Question Core i9 13900k shot up to $900...

Overnight I guess stock plumetted that its $900 on newegg and amazon now? I believe it was about $600-650 normally.

B+H has it for regular price but its a "will ship when available" type deal.

I actually already bought a Core i7 13700 but was considering returning it for the i9. Guess that's out.

It’s Christmas season. They’ve got to pump up the price. So it looks like a deal at $650 on Black Friday.

That’s my guess anyways.

Another is that I read today. China is doing some lockdowns for Covid. They might be anticipating the supply disruption.

How long is your return window? If you want the i9 I’d wait until Amazon or Newegg restocks. Not one of the third party sellers.

If this is for gaming. If you don’t have a monster GPU and are gaming at 1080p. You probably won’t notice a difference.

Amazon, 30 days. I have time.

I am waiting to see what AMD announces with their GPUs in 3 days. If nothing exciting il buy a 6900XT.
