Hello all I have a few questions about my setup and the best mb to select.
Rig:
Core2 Quad Q6600
4gb 800/667 ram
Mid Atx tower with very good cooling 2 fans in 2 fans out (120mm)
My current gpu is a Radeon HD 5830 Xtreme 1mb GDDR5
Current mb is a Foxconn G31/33
650w Thermaltake PSU

I have 2 of the 5830 cards and would like to run them in crossfire. My board however only has one PCI-E slot and no provisions for another card, I have seen thousands of mb's on Ebay but I am unsure of what to look for. Would you please advise of a good mb that will give me decent gaming performance and the ability to run crossfire cards for the LGA 775 socket and possibly faster ram. I have looked on Newegg and all that is offered is single slot mb's so Ebay is my best option. And please no comments to buy another setup or my setup sucks etc... I like to run the higher end stuff that's 3-5 years old, that way I can get a real nice rig without breaking the bank. Thank you in advance.

part picker lists 4 mobo's that would support xfire http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/compare/asrock-motherboard-p45x3deluxe%2Casus-motherboard-p5qproturbo%2Cecs-motherboard-p45tad3%2Cgigabyte-motherboard-gaep45tusb3p/

however, they do not list any prices or where you can buy them. but at least this gives you some specific models to look for. hard to find such old parts new in box but i'm sure ebay will turn up a hit on one of these boards.

Hey thx for the info, I have found several boards on ebay. It gets really confusing all the different bus rates etc... lol. I found a nice looking Foxconn black ops board I may bid on.

Yeah I have a huge selection on Ebay. I just have to keep an eye out for the more recent boards. Is this board a good board? And is it unlocked? Intel ATX Extreme LGA 775 DDR3 DX38BT

seems like it is able to overclock but reviews are saying all kinds of ram issues for it. seems to only like certain ram voltages and speeds but nothing concrete on what exactly works. also note it uses ddr3 ram and you have ddr2 ram. so unless you plan on upgrading the ram, this is not the right board for you.
