all the price change that needed to happen(for the Core2's), already did. If your planning to hold hold out SOOOO long until the C2 series CPU's price will fall so that you can make a rainfall save... well then your wrong. By that time the C2 series will look like a LGA775 P4 does now. Its around, but when you try to make it do evertything with it - it burps. These limitations 'll show up once you start running hungrier app's.

@ thechief73 - BINGO :)

@ eldrigdeluke - Don't get me wrong bro, i noticed you had your config finalized within a few posts...that should be all for you. Investing in newer hardware, well, I'd ask you to save the money from the GTS250 -and put that into an ATi 5770 1GB DDR5 in a months time - news of ATi's 6900 series will cause the 5 series GPU's to drop.

For gaming - its great
For work - really awesome, been working with maya to handle voronoi tesselations

btw - i'm curious as to how much you'll pay for the GTS250...

ok then, the final config should be

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 2.5Ghz 4MB 1333Mhz
Asus P5G41CM-LX Intel G41/ DDR3
Kingston 2GB PC3-10600 DDR3 1333
HDD
(insert GPU here) GTS250? or is the HD5770 better? IDK..
