Corrupt files every time I try installing something

So I recently came back from a vacation. My PC was untouched for about 20 days. When I came back home I cleaned and booted it but ran into some serious issues. Whenever I try installing anything I get an error saying that the setup has failed because the files are corrupt. I have tried installing games such as sunless sea, stalker (which are both bought from GOG) and Fortnite. They have all failed. I ran Windows memory diagnostic tool and it came up clean. I have windows 7 64-bit. What do I do?

From my experience, corruption when installing programs is generally a sign of bad RAM. or a failing HDD.

Even if memtest86 isn't picking up a failure doesn't mean one doesn't exist. I would recommend removing RAM and trying to install a few programs with one stick at a time, and see if you can isolate the problem to any specific stick of RAM. If the problems occur with each individual stick, then I'd start to suspect the HDD.

Did all of that, still getting the same problem.
