Corsair Cx850 psu test.

So I had some power on issues and I tried to perform the PSU test with a paperclip the Corsair CX 850 does not have color-coded wires so I had to go online to get a diagram jumping what would be the green wire to any of the ground wires failed the test even with a SATA hard drive to simulate a load.

XFX R9 DD 290x 4gb.
Corsair h60 liquid cooling.
3x Corsair high pressure static fans.

Do you think 850 Watts wasn't enough and it just shorten the life of this power supply also what wattage do you recommend?

850W is more than enough , just that model is not of the greatest quality , look into the Corsair RMX series.

Ok I'll look into it also is there any suggestions on power requirements for virtual reality specifically the HTC Vive

So rhe vive does not draw from the pzu? Does it come with its own?
