Does it have a 3 or 4 pin motherboard connector? Download for the quick start guide on the website said its a 3 pin. I want to install on a Z390 Aorus Ultra. Thanks Mark
I am cooling using the Corsair h150i aio on an Asus Maximus Hero XI board with 9900k cpu. My question is about the fan connection. I connected it as suggested by the corsair manual, which was to connect the pump to the CPU_FAN header... but the Asus manual suggests using the AIO_PUMP header...

In the H100i system, all the power for the AIO system - pump and rad fans - comes from a connection to a SATA power output from the PSU. The cable from the pump that ends in a 3-pin female fan connector really has only one function - it sends the pump's speed signal to the mobo header you plug it into. You also must connect a cable from a socket on the pump body to a mobo USB2 header and download and install the Corsair iCue software. When you configure it, that software takes over all control of CPU cooling and monitoring the AIO system for component failure - none of those jobs is left to the mobo's CPU cooling system. Readings available to you through BIOS Setup for the CPU_FAN header are not to be used - use only the information in the iCue software tool to examine CPU cooling.
