I was wondering if I should remove the thermal paste off the Corsair H100i AIO cooler and reapply some Arctic Silver paste for a better cool. I was also wondering if I could mess anything up during this process and if using 70% isopropyl alcohol is okay to do in this process?

Thank you.

Solution
What is your temperature at idle?
If it is significantly more than 10-15c. over ambient, then consider remounting.
Otherwise, you are ok.

Cleaning with isopropyl alcohol is correct. the purer the better. 72% is ok, 90% is better.

Be careful to not use too much paste or it will act as an insulator.
A small rice sized drop in the middle is about right.
Also, be careful to screw down the pump evenly.
Tighten is a crosswise pattern a little bit at a time.

At idle the temp is 25-30c (i5 9600k cpu). And yeah I always do the cross method when tightening the screws. Under load CPU usually hits 55-60c.
