Corsair H60 Perfomance

So fellow experts i bought the corsair H60 this thing is freaking quite and works well but like not to well on idle i get 40 degress and gaming i get 47 and even 42 but for gta v while playing i get 55,5,58 around that is that good temps the processor is a xeon w3520 OC to 3.32Ghz i wanted to go 4.00ghz but not to show the configuration is push only i do not own another fan but will buy one and one more thing can i like add more water in it without damaging it

that is normal performance. idle temps are acceptable. 58 is acceptable. did you raise the voltage when you overclocked? if so that could explain the extra heat. perhaps also make sure it is properly mounted. those square heads sometimes can be a pain if the tubes are in a tight bend. I would not add more water, there should already be the right amount. adding another fan will help slightly.

when i overclocked i left the cpu core voltage on auto it currently running at 1.164 volts its mounted well to the tubes aren't bending or anything

is that the voltage under full load?

i don't know how do i check that show i run a test on it

well I would get CPUz it will monitor the voltage core speed and more. just run a benchmark like cinebench or prime95 and watch the voltage, I have a feeling it is climbing above that to stay stable.

oh ok i got cpu z already will run prime95 on it

well i ran it and it showed me from 1.164v and went down to 1.141v that's weird? in the bios option i have evga vdroop on maybe thats what making it do that

yes and just remember to watch temps as well. prime 95 makes lots of heat.

so like whats the best voltage i can put for this cpu not really sure i will put off the vdroop option in the bios

so i turn off vdroop put my core voltage to 1.065 and ran prime95 max temps was 58 C and idle is 37 39 C

those are fine temps. for an older 130W TDP chip those temps are fine. especially on prime 95
