Hi. I noticed after a playing a game and monitoring with HW Monitor that my max temps were quite high, 68 degrees highest core. What I also noticed was the cpu fan had only gone from 820 rpm idle to 999 rpm load. Would this explain my high cpu temps? What rpm should the H80i be running under load?

I also notice in Corsair link that the H80i Gt cooler pump and H80i cooler fan are blinking red and have no values. The corsair H80i GT cooler temp has a value but is also blinking red.

I thought I would also mention I'm getting good idle temps as far as I know. 20's mostly.

Guys, have you tried just attaching the pump to a CHA/SYS_FAN Header and setting it to operate at 100% if you are struggling to override the CPU_FAN settings in BIOS? The Pump on the corsair water coolers are not supposed to be variable, they are supposed to run at 100% all the time on a 12V Fan header which means the CPU-FAN Header is a poor choice to connect the pump to out of the box unless you override the default settings in BIOS. Most UEFI BIOS have a Turbo mode profile you can apply to the CPU_FAN header (ASUS does anyway) - this will give you the 100% result you need for the pump to operate properly.

Ok to plug the fans on the radiator into the CPU_OPT Fan Header and allow them to be PWM managed based on CPU temp - if you use a CHA or SYS FAN Header - make sure the PWM Fan management is based on CPU temp, and not Mobo Temp.

At the end of the day, doesn't matter what headers you use - just remember - Water Pump = 12V @ 100%, fans = PWM managed based on CPU Temp.

I also ended up attaching it to a SYS_FAN header, which then showed 0RPM for the pump while i put them all on max PWM per Degree Celsius. (I could see the other fans around 2000 rpm). I concluded the pump is broken and I am returning it today.
