Hello.
I recently built my new PC and for the CPU cooling, I chose the Corsair H80i v2 cooler. I have used the rig for a week and the noise that H80i fans make is already driving me crazy.
So today I swapped out the stock Corsair fans to Be Quiet! Silent Wings 2 (120mm).
The noise has reduced significantly, as I can barely hear it at idle, but one thing that worries me is the temperature.
The H80i idle temperature is 34-35C. When I was playing GTA 5 on maxed out settings it was around 45C.

Are these temperatures normal? (I didn't really pay attention to the temperatures with the stock fans)
Oh, and the CPU (i7 6700k) core package temperature at idle is around 31-32C.

P.S. The reason why this worries me so much is that in the settings of Corsair Link, the default temperature warning is set to appear when the temperature goes over 45C.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot! You put my mind at ease.
This is my first time dealing with basic water cooling, as the previous PC's that I had built, weren't that powerful and never really required anything else than a stock CPU cooler.

My fans are set on 'quiet' performance (lowest RPM's). I believe that the temperatures will go lower with the high performance or even balanced settings.

Since these temperatures are great, how high must the temperature go before I get a warning? (because I can set when I get a warning)

Thanks

I would set a warning at 65C, under max load I usually only get up to 60C (rarely ever), yes, setting them at high performance will make it cooler. I can't even hear my cooler, it's just that quiet, I usually keep it on the quiet setting.

I wouldn't worry about CPU temps unless it goes above 75C.

Thank You very much! :)
Have a great day.

Depends on whether that 45°C is cpu temp or liquid temp. If it's liquid temp, I'd leave it.

Because of the liquid and the huge area ability to cool, AiOs work just a little differently than an air cooler when it comes to fans. With basic standard fan curves, setting to performance won't to anything at idle. It'll still spin the same 400 or so rpm. At max load, you'll see a @6°C difference over silent, at the cost of almost double the db(A). Top performance mode, when silent gets you low figures already, honestly isn't worth it. Silent mode will do you just fine.

For intel cpus, the standard temp at the top of the constant use safe range is 70°C. You could run this 24/7 and not think twice about damaging the cpu. For short term usage, anything over 70° is where ppl start getting nervous, with the H80i v2, you'll never see 70° unless your airflow is bunk and the radiator is clogged with dust.

The cpu doesn't care if it's running 45° or 65°, makes no difference at all, so as long as temps at high load usage stay under 70°C for cpu, you'll be good.

Thanks for your answer.
I've been playing some games on maxed out settings, to test the temperatures in real life situations. After about a 1,5h of gaming, the h80i liquid temp is somewhere from 50°C to 51°C. I'm not sure that is a good temperature.
My CPU stays around 45°C to 50°C.

The reason I'm worried is because I removed the awful (very loud) stock fans and replaced them with Be Quiet! fans, and I'm not 100% sure they are performing well.
I just spent quite a lot of money on building my PC, and I don't want to ruin it in the firs couple of weeks.

P.S. Right now as I am writing this (5 min after playing) - the liquid temp is 39°C, CPU 33°C.

Thanks.
