I just ordered two new hd140s and one hd120 from someone on ebay. The only problem is they dont come with any controllers. I only wish to be able to control them through software and am not worried about having an actuall switch inside the case to control them.

I need to know what exactly I need to order to be able to plug these in for the rgbs, i have enough fan headers for power but no rgb headers. I have seen through research that the rgb corsair hub has proprietary wires that will plug into a usb 2.0 header?

Is the rgb fan hub the only thing I need to order?

Also, i know this is a long shot but I was hoping to plug up my case rbg fans with these in sync. I have a coolermaster h500p mesh. Is this possible to do since the corsair fan hubs use proprietary cabling?

Here is the link to the hub that I think I need but as you can see on corsairs own page there is no real description or pictures of the cable provided with the product.

Please only post if you have installed these yourself or know for sure.
Thanks.

Solution
To connect your Corsair RGB fans, there are 2x methods:
1. RGB controller + Commander Pro
2. RGB controller + Lighting Node Pro

1st method gives you fan RGB and RPM control via Corsair Link/iCUE, while 2nd method only gives you RGB control via Corsair Link/iCUE.

Commander Pro, specs: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/CORSAIR-LINK/CORSAIR-Commander-PRO/p/CL-9011110-WW
Lighting Node Pro, specs: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/CORSAIR-LINK/CORSAIR-Lighting-Node-PRO/p/CL-9011109-WW

To add to Aeacus' response ... check out http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=173880. It has just about everything you need to know about the Corsair RGB System.

And the Corsair connectors aren't "proprietary". They use standard Molex connectors - see here for the part numbers: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=174759. That said, they are different from what others use.

As for synching with the CoolerMaster fans - it's likely possible; they seem to be standard WS2812B LEDs just like the Corsair LEDs. A user on the Corsair forum did try it but did not succeed - I think he crossed the +5V with ground and he wasn't willing to try again.

One more thing ... those fans are 12V Analog RGB. The Corsair system uses 5V Digital Addressable RGB. You'd need a (custom) Digital-To-Analog Converter to control those fans with the Corsair stuff.

This image is the most helpful thing I've seen thus far. My only remaining question is the my case came with 2 HD 120's included that have both the 4 pin for the mobo; and the pin for the fan controller. I bought 2 of the same fans but they only have 1 cable that extends from it; Does that go into the fan controller; or the MOBO?

Which fans you additionally bought? Since HD120 RGB fans have to have 2x wires; one for powering the fan (4-pin, goes to the MoBo/fan hub) and another to power and control the LEDs (4-pin, goes to the RGB LED controller).
