[SOLVED] Corsair Hx620W. Made your opinions and thoughts what i should do

My family got this power supply unopened, brand new. Don't ask how cause i don't believe this is new. The model has two 6 pin PCI cable and it's very very old. Should i trust this thing to make r5 1600 rx 560-570, ssd 120, 1tb hdd, 16gb 3000mhz kit gaming pc to my mum? Nothing is going to be OC.

It's very old (circa 2006) so no telling what shape it's in. According to JG it's one of Corsair's first power supplies. Personally I wouldn't trust it simply because of its' age but opinions vary.

By new im saying it was never opened and used at all. But yeah is very very very old to work in todays systems, no? Even if it's "new". I think i would preffer to buy a CX550-650w model and install that one.

Maybe contact Corsair? Maybe they want one for their museum? 😁

Think by now the CX is a better choice.

Maybe they even want to trade. 😉

As said can talk to Corsair support,maybe they will be really interested. Can't hurt to try. Looked up jonnyguru here,but he doesn't allow conversation.

At worst you might spend some time and maybe have fun with it. At best they are interested,am really not sure,but might be possible.
