Corsair HX750w PSU crackling (and more), should I send it to Corsair right away?

My HX 750W (about 6 monthes old), started to make a crackling sound when running Valley Benchmark. I have had strange issue in the past with this, such as the fan ramping up for no reason, my entire case vibrating and being noisy because of the vibrations, and what sounds like a musical instrument when a specific game is running on my computer. I know these are not the best signs for a PSU.

Should I be worried enough to stop using this PSU right away and get a replacement?

Haha glad you enjoyed it!

If there is anything wrong with your power supply it could provide to much power to any part of your computer at any moment. Will it? Eventually it will. Will it be enough to cause permanent damage? I am not sure.. but you are going to want to replace it as soon as possible.

That video just made my day hahaha. But anyways, is there any immediate threat to my pc with this PSU?

Nah, I am no where near the limit for my PSU. I only have a 770, and an 8350 (stock speeds).

Any electrical device making noise it was not intended to make is a bad thing and will not have any time frame or warning of imminent failure. Just be glad it is under warranty and RMA it. Without a qualified person looking at it the best we can do is guess. I suggest you do not wait - send it back ASAP.
