Just installed a new Corsair ML140 PRO LED fan. Connected it to an open Chassis Fan header and set the fan control to PWM in the BIOS. Once it gets up to a certain minimum speed, I can hear a quiet consistent chirp (like a fast bird) that increases with the fan speed. If I tap on the back of the case (it's the rear exhaust fan), the noise will lessen or disappear, only to inevitably come back.

I originally thought I maybe had the fan over-tightened or slightly bowed somehow, but that doesnt seem to be the problem. Is it RMA time???

Thanks!

So earlier I completely loosened the fan to where it was literally resting in place, the noise appeared to have gone away. I have used the lightest pressure to tighten each fan screw until I get anything that qualifies as resistance, then I stopped turning the screwdriver. This appears to have stopped the issue. I cannot believe these fans are that sensitive to being 100% true/square. Maybe my case is just slightly warped (brand new though) enough that completely tightening the screws results in the fan being twisted and then causing noise.

Posting this just in case anyone else runs into a similar issue, but I am 100% positive that how the screws are tightened isn't a new idea.
