Hello I was wondering if its worth replacing the fan in my psu as it rattle when its warm, if i tip the case at 45 degree angle the noise stops which leads me to believe the fan bearing is fubar.

Has anyone got ant suggestions on what fan/size etc to go for? its still under warranty however by the time i have paid to ship to USA its probably quicker and easier to fix myself.

Any help much appreciated.

psu fans are designed to ramp up at certain loads to keep it operating correctly. If you replace it with a different type it may not run at its optimum temperature and cause problems. If you can get the exact same fan it shouldnt be an issue, but as said above keep in mind there is danger of electric shock even when the psu is disconnected from AC power, from high voltage power stored in the primary caps. contact Corsair first they may pay for pickup/shipping or just send you a new one as its cheaper fro them that way rather than pay for shipping.
