Hi All,

Keen to overclock to get better frame rates but not sure if I should due to my PSU
i5 6600k
Corsair RM550x PSU
16gb G.skill ram
RTX 2070
Corsair H60 water cooler

Can anyone advise if its safe to do a safe overclock of say 4-4.2?
Keen to get 4.5 but if my psu is not good enough then maybe not.

200w for entire pc. 200w for gpu. So even if you pushed that pc to its limits, you'd still barely, if at all, top 400w use. That leaves 150w for OC, and you'll hit thermal barriers long before hitting 150w power draw. With that cooler, you'll be lucky to get an extra 50w with OC.

You have room.

I have the same Cooler the H60. I'm able to get a stable 4.6 with max temps under 60c as well as Adaptive Vcore which never goes above 1.24. For first setup I would recommend downloading AI Suite Version 1.05.13 and run the Optimization. It'll most likely test up to 4.9 but it'll fail once it tries to do all cores. I've had issues with mine before on 4.7 with random crashes in SOME games so I went to 4.6, been stable for over a year now.

My setup:
i5 6600k 4.6Ghz
16gb Corsair Vengance 3000
Corsair H60 (cooling)
EVGA 650 G1

I've seen my CPU only pull MAX of 100 watts under Aida stress. You should be fine in your watts.
