I keep seeing different answers regarding this so wanted to make sure that the RM850 would work for this build. The rest of the system specs are Asus Maximus VII Hero, Intel i7 4790, (2) 8GB gskill 2133.

I forgot to add, disk is Crucial MX100 256GB, case is NZXT H440, and corsair i100 liquid cooler.

I just did the asus power calculator and it thinks I need 950. I keep on second guessing myself.

its doesn't matter the other parts apart from the GPU and CPU consumes very less amount of power plus u have a locked CPU so u are not going to OC that's why no worries go with a 750 watt from a good brand like seasonic or xfx with a 80+ gold certified and u will be fine ....
wattage wise 250x2 = 500 watt for the card ......84 watt for the processor....and say 100 watt max for other components .......& these are maximum load power and u will still remain with plenty of headroom but if u want more head room then go for evga 1000 watt it comes with 10 years of warranty which is great itself.......http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438010&cm_re=evga_1000_watt-_-17-438-010-_-Product

I ended up just ordering the EVGA G2 based on your suggestion and reviews. I didn't actually have the PSU yet, just had it ordered as all my parts will be here tomorrow. I will return the Corsair when it get's here and just keep the EVGA. Thank you for all of your help!
