II recently purchased a Corsair RM850i
Works flawlessly under load however it makes a weird noise when it starts up. Usually after a cold boot or if the power switch is flicked to the off position and back on.
This noise persist even with nothing plugged into it, As when the psu first came in I used a jumper plug to power it on and it made this noise. Skeptical I wanted to see if it would run regardless and it booted my system on fine, Runs everything fine and has yet to shut down or make any other strange noises what so ever.
I can only describe the sound as a Chirp or more like a Zap sound.
as if power is literally shot into the component.
