lol...

Nope, I don't work for Corsair, and I'm not crazy either. Crazy is to take Newegg reviewers as a better source of information than a good review.

Oh, and just so you know, corsair isn't the best either. Antec's Signature series are even better than Corsair, and there's a Seasonic model (I forget the name, I'd have to look it up). The Silverstone mentioned however is not in this top category.

No the Silverstne ST1000-p does not smoke or beat it in anyway, it is actually an average quality PSU that has a high failure rate. The Olimpia series was the last quality one form Silverstone. The ST-series is the "silence" series which sacrifices quality for quietness.

Yeah, theres a problem with the TX950 and asus motherboards.I bought one a few weeks ago to replace a TX750 which in turn was going into my kids pc.I spent 2 days trying to figure out why my pc wouldnt boot into either my xp or windows 7 partitions as it looked like a hd or cpu issue and to cut a long story short i popped the old psu in and all was ok again.Corsair said they`re looking into it with asus. Some people have had 2 or 3 replacements and none of them work in their asus mobos but work ok in some other makes.I build pc`s on a regular basis and have nearly 30 years of experience with them so know my way around a pc.
Mine is a rampage formula mobo and i was lucky enough that dabs gave me a full refund with no hassle after i explained the problem to them.I`m currently looking at the HX1000 watt corsair and considering that one as i heard its ok with asus boards.
