Corsair Unveils New RM-Series PSUs

If you bought the AX860i solely for the Corsair Link technology then you shouldn't have bought it and instead bought the AX860. Same PSU, just no Link Software.

Corsairs AX series are extremely good PSUs with really good voltages across the board and great efficiency (it is a Platinum after all). The link software is meh honestly as the best benefit is to monitor the voltages.

As for the software, probably a bug and might be different per system or OS>

I do like how the link you provided had some screen shots stating "Sponsored by Seasonic/CM".

All of this info and yet they forget to mention that all the PSUs are Fully Modular. That is a pretty bad oversight, but probably accidental and easily forgiven. Come on Jane! Add the info. Your readers deserve to know!

While it should have been in the specs, I think the picture does a good job at showing that it is fully modular.

Except the majority wouldn't recognize that fact. She needs to write for everyone not just the tech savvy.

AX and AXi are NOT the same power supply. The AX is based on a Seasonic Platinum platform. The AXi is a proprietary fully digital unit from Flrextronics.

As for the Link software not working, go on the Corsair forums and get the newest version. Not to deny that some people may have had some problems, but I for one have never had a problem with the Link software:

When I got my AX1200i the Corsair link software was buggy and did crash my system, but I think it was still in beta. I waited a couple months and downloaded the latest version and haven't had a single problem with it since.
