Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H 1.0
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4670K CPU @ 3.40GHz
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 2400 MHz 2x16Gb (CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R)
As the title says; I looked into my pc specs and noticed my ram was running by default at 1200Mhz.
Trying to bump it up in the Bios through XMP profile 1 (the only one available) proceeded to crash my system during use.
Did a test by leaving the XMP profile 1 Latencies and manually bumping the Voltage to 1.65 on the RAM and the CPU core to 1.069V, thus having the RAM run at 2400MHz as designed (attached are the stats for the test as seen on CPU-Z)
Running Prime95 that lead to one of the 4 cores to crash after 1hr.
(Also bonus question, did a bit of research on my motherboards ram compatibily and was unable to find my specific ram in it's listing; CMD16GX3M2A2400C10 and CMD16GX3M2A2400C10R were among the compatible ones - does the 11R cause compatibility issues?)
I would like some guidance through finding a stable OC for my memory to run at it's designed speed, as I am quite new to the whole thing.
Thank you for your time and help guys.
