Hi guys,

I recently upped my ram to 16gb 1866mHz and honestly i cant tell if its running at 1866 as advertised.

I checked the BIOS and saw it was set to AUTO and at 1400, Task manager shows memory speed as 1400.

Did a quick "fix" and enabled XMP and it showed 1866 in the BIOS, unfortunately task manager still shows 1400.

I ran CPUz but didnt understand what it all meant, would be awesome if someone who actually knew their shit could step in and enlighten me :|

On the first pick of CPU-Z where it says Dram Frequency it is showing 933 you have a duel channel motherboard so you memory speed is listed as half of the true speed so yes your memory is running 1866.

Oh dang it, should have figured that out! thanks so much!

on a side note, i've been doing light reading since im not sure of what im doing, since i enabled XMP, should i disable Turbo Boost?

I see, was thinking it was not needed since i have more ram, oh well, what do i know 😀

Thanks so much:)
