Hi

Soo I usually use xmp and there have been no issues
But recently Ram went bad and got an RMA
When I use xmp now it works but get bsod while gaming.
No bsod when on default prolife
I updated bios and chipset and memory drivers

My last kit used to run on 2933 and this one says 3000. From what I remember 2933 on ryzen is better
I tried xmp on and manually downgrading the multiplied to 2933 but no dice, doesnt boot
I'm on gigabyte auros pro wifi and 5600x

If anyones got manual timings for the 2x8 gb ddr4 Corsair vengeance rgb kit and what all needs to change from default to make it 2933, would be a big help
Thanks and cheers

Lol yea really don't want to get into oc but
Currently if keep it on xmp at 3000 it bsods while gaming.

And if I keep xmp on and manually change it to 2933 it doesn't boot.

On 2133 it's working perfectly well.

The Ram is actually a 3000 MHz dual kit, so guessing just got a bad kit
It's not only about the ram kit, cpu and mb has things with that

Try the procedure I mentioned above, you might get it stable on somewhere between 2400-2666 mhz

Good luck

Hey
So it's a
Ryzen 5600x
Gigabyte auros pro wifi b450
Rx 6700xt asus tuf
Corsair 2x8gb ddr4 vengeance rgb pro
Corsair CX-M Series CX750M
Plus an SSD, an nvme and a sata drive
3000 is better than 2933 , more freq = better performance for ryzen cpus but that performance gain in games is almost nothing unless you have an apu not a cpu.
Don't waste your time on this cuz you have to waste a lot of time to get the best voltage and timing settings to set the freq you want, and even if you get that, no performance gain in real life you gotta get compared to 3000mhz :D
So enjoy your pc as it runs smoothly on the default speed
If you really have problem with that, set voltage on 1.4V and start testing frequencies from 3600mhz down to the least option is there, find the most stable one and stick to it
Good luck
