I'm buying a new PSU and I've come down to Corsair CX500 or Fortron Aurum S 500W (80+ Gold). the choice comes to theese ones, because they're at my current planned pricepoint.
So, what would be your suggestions. which one to get? what's your experience with both of theese? I'd like to know from people who have used Fortron PSU's.
and don't just say to get Corsair, because you haven't heard of Fortron PSU's. 😀

Hi - Go with the Aurum. FSP is an OEM & makes their own units, the Corsair is made by CWT (Channel Well),
which is not a bad thing. But, all other things being equal I would choose a gold efficiency unit over a bronze eff unit.
The Aurum S 500 comes with a 5 yr warranty vs 3 yr for the Corsair CX.

Also, I...

The CX is a Poor PSU with poor Capacitors, The Aurum is a Tier 2B class PSU and is better than the CX Psu.

yup, I used ut and both of theese PSU's, as I already knew are on the same tier (3rd).

Also, I don't know what CPU you have, but the Aurum is Haswell ready while the CX is not.
