Hello, I have a A10-7850k with R9 380 Strix 4GB. 16gb ram. I have already ordered a VS550 (and I know they are really not great psu’s) but I just needed something until payday in January)

So my question is, would this 550w be good enough for both my GPU, and CPU?

I have 3 fans, 1 hard drive, and a USB WiFi dongle. I’m hoping this will be good enough for gaming is my main concern as it has to do until I get paid to get a better PSU due to Christmas

Kind regards

Solution
Hi, that PSU isn't too bad, there is FAR worse out there than this! It supplies over 50A on the 12v rail which should be more than enough for an R9 380 in a system like that.

Do yourself and your computer a favor and send that POS back or cancel the order.

Then order a better quality unit.

That PSU is a bad idea all the way around.

Not really much worse really.

The only difference is worst means dumpster fire (worse) compared to damaged parts (VS).

It's a total complete POS.
