[SOLVED] Could it run fortnite and discord at the same time? and watch youtube videos smoothly too

Solution
For that, you will as many CPU threads as you can get. Get yourself a ryzen 5 2600 $160 which offers 6c/12t, 3 times the threads of that core I3. You could get a first gen ryzen 7 1700 $180 8c/16t for a little more money, however, that would be overkill, and the slightly slower clocks may not be beneficial in games if you upgrade your GPU later. 170 can get you a more powerful chip than that i3 8350k. Plus, a b350 or b450 $75ish motherboard for ryzen would be all u would need. Yesterday Newegg had a ryzen 7 1700x for $149.99, which i should have bought to replace my Ryzen 3 1200 (a $90 processor that has the same cores and threads as that I3, and overclocks to the same speed...)

If you haven't bought anything yet, then 4 cores/4 threads should not be under consideration. That Intel is an overclocking CPU, so if you wanted to get into overclocking but couldn't afford a more expensive Intel CPU then that's the one to get. Otherwise cross it off your list.

You want to multitask. You want to run games AND do other stuff. So 4 cores/8 threads or 6 cores/6 threads should be the minimum you consider. Going by Newegg prices you can get a Ryzen 5 2600 for less than that Intel. At Newegg the Intel i5 6 cores are over $200 right now so I wouldn't consider them, however if you prefer Intel then that would be your alternative.
