Hi there! I'm wanting to build a new computer for gaming and video/photo editing. I saw the article about the new Ryzen 3000 processors coming out & am wondering if I should just wait, since it'd supposedly be in May, or if it'd be okay to build a new system now? What would you do? Currently, I have an almost 4 year old laptop and an even older desktop.
Laptop is an Asus X555LB-NS51: FHD, Intel Core i5 5200u, 750gb HDD, nvidia 940m GPU, 8 GB RAM... Bought in April of 2015.
Desktop is: AMD FX-6300, MSI 970A-G43 AM3+ mobo, Kingston v300 120gb SSD + seagate 1TB hdd, crucial 8gb RAM, Cooler Master Hypo 212 EVO, 850w PSU (forgot the brand, sorry) and a 1050Ti 2GB..
Is that computer good for anything?
Here's the list of parts that I picked @ pcpartpicker. Totally open to suggestions and modifications. Any and all help is greatly appreciated and welcomed.
I'm also not opposed to Intel, just saw a lot of reviews and videos saying that the Ryzen was a good value.

AMD Ryzen 2700x
MSI B450 gaming pro carbon (I picked it because of the on board wifi) - Would this be okay for the new 3000 series coming out, if I decided to upgrade? - I do want a board with wifi.
G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32 (16x2)
Samsung 860 EVO 1TB
be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 cooler (from what I've read, similar temps to noctua, but better looking).. Wouldn't mind something like a Corsair h115i or something.
MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 2070
EVGA SuperNOVA 850w PSU
Corsair Carbide 275R Mid-Tower Case: https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-CARBIDE-Mid-Tower-Tempered-CC-9011133-WW/dp/B079JV8ZB9/
Already have Windows 10 Home. Want to add a BluRay player as well. Was thinking this one: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAG1H7UZ2651
Updated part list, removing the cooler and changing the PSU to 650W: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8kRkKB
Thanks for your time!
