Hello, so I've recently moved and have switched to COX for my ISP. 50/10mbps.
The connection, speed and everything was running well until about 2 weeks ago, almost every minute the connection drops for 1 second then picks up again. I had a guy come out and he checked the signal and said it was on the lower side of the tolerance, changed a cable splitter out and said it was more in the middle. I told him it was still happening and he suggested to change the ethernet cable connected to my computer and left. Tried it, nothing changed.
I left the state for a week and was hoping the problem was gone when I returned. It wasn't.
Today another guy came out, checked the signal, said it was good and changed the modem out that I'm renting from cox, he left. I come and check my network monitor and it shows a connection loss again so a new modem didn't help.
I'm tired of people coming out and not knowing what the problem is so I turn to you people, any ideas or suggestions?
Surfing the web is fine, it makes playing FPS's unplayable.
Thank you for your time.
