[SOLVED] cpu 100 degrees gpu 70 degrees while playing games

Solution
I agree with the first one. I haven't repasted my GPU for awhile because it still remains within the temp it did the first time i got it, for me the GPU idle temp is normal if you live in a country that's naturally hot/humid. I had my CPU go up to a 100 max when i was gaming and was going in between 85-95 degrees most of the time while the idle temp was 75 repasting it did the work for me. I'd suggest getting a Noctua NT-H1 or a Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. There are a lot of vids on how to repaste but a moderately sized dot in the middle would certainly be enough.

alright, but for the gpu do you think i should add a better cooler or change the airflow?

What are your GPU load temps like? The i7 920 has a TDP of 130W, which is quite high, so it needs a decent cooler in any case. But to have it at 100 degrees while idle is a problem all right, I wonder is the CPU cooler mounted properly? It might not be getting proper contact. Changing the thermal paste is a good suggestions as previously said, and when done to check the cooler mounting properly.
Also, do you have enough case cooling, air coming in and out?

I guess not, my pc was built by someone else( a guy at a shop)
So i guess ill ask someone else to help me with the thermal paste and the coolers.
thanks

If you want you can add more fans. Just the general rule that the front and bottom (psu fan) should be intake and top and back fans should be exhaust. thought personally i think its fine just as long as it doesnt hit north of 85 degrees constantly by then that means you also need to repaste the gpu

Well he said his CPU temp is around 100 degrees idle so that is definitely a concern! 🙄 If it was 85 under load that would be no problem. Similarly for the GPU, if it hit over 80 degrees momentarily, not a big deal.
