Question CPU 12pin connector on ASUS Prime X570-P

I have ryzen 5 5600x and it works on 4.85Ghz when PBO is turned on (we all know its based on limited auto voltages, power etc etc)

I have 12pin for cpu on my ASUS Prime X570-P motherboard but i use only 8 pin for my cpu (works fine). I have semi modular Corsair TX850M and i can plug in additional 4pin for cpu, so my question is: will my cpu go more than 4.85 if i give it extra 4pin connector (because mb will feel additional source of power beside that 8pin connector and will it give higher clock?) Thank you

No, it's not going to clock any higher with the additional power connector populated.

The clockspeed is limited by the power limit set in BIOS and the silicon limits itself.

As an FYI: no AM4 Ryzen CPU requires a 12 pin connector. Your processor in particular could get along just as well with a 4 pin connector.

The only purpose for a 12 pin is 1) if you choose to engage in extreme overclocking experiments, such as those on LN2 or another sub-ambient cooling method or 2) helps impart a sense of reliability while also somehow providing for superior performance potential thereby justifying a higher price.
