Hi guys, im buying a new computer soon and want to know the amount of money i should spend on a cpu and a gpu to have all the highest graphic mods. I plan on getting this comp for the future of my gaming, so i also want it ready for the witcher 3 when it comes out and any other game in the next 2 yrs, im buying it from ibuypower, heres the link to my potential computer and i would also love some feedback on whether or not my pc will be adequately cooled so it wont overheat, and if i will have a sufficient power supply for all components. and i want to take my 1 tb hard drive from the computer i have now and put it in my new one, how can i tell if i will have space for it? or can i just not order a new harddrive so its empty when its delivered??

Also below is the hardware i definitely want to get, but need help knowing whether i will have sufficient space and power supply

*Corsair vengeance C70 gaming case (21.0" x 9.1" x 19.7") or the Thermaltake Armor Revo Full tower gaming case (21.7" x 10.1" x 23.1") idk which one to buy to be able to fit all the hardware ill be upgrading to, in the next couple years i might upgrade to 3 monitor display and add another 670 gpu, right now all i have is a 42 inch hd tv.

*Nvidia gtx 670 2gb

* Intel core i7 3820 processor (4x 3.60/ 10MB L3 cache) with tuning protection- is this a good processor for gaming and with overclocking will it be able to run most game on ultra??

*powerdrive level 1, 10% overclocking

*Corsair hydro series H60 liquid cpu cooling system with ARC dual silent high performance fan (push pull airflow)

* 1050 watt THermaltake toughpower grand (i want to buy a bigger psu cuz idk how many watts i will need with all the hardware listed and will also want to install another 670 gpu in the next 2 years, so i just want to buy as much right now to avoid the hassle)

* Creative labs sound blaster X-Fi extreme audio

thank you in advance, any advice is great, idk much about computers i just know i like gaming so if anyone has any tips or knows of any websites that explain this kind of stuff let me know...also the link might tell the exact hardware or it might not, but you will know what hardware im wanting

The 1050w is overkill. I run basically what you do and I use a Corsair HX750 and that itself may be overkill. Also, you should REALLY build your own and not get it from iBP. I built my own and saved a lot of time and $$. In the long run it'll pay off. Just my 2 cents, as for everything else, I'll let others handle that.

First off when I did some changes on your rig on the site. The price went up to $1603.00. The changes I made was to a full tower by thermaltake armor revo that has a hot dock on top of the case.

You can take any hard drive that is SATA and plug it in. Plus you can get more fan's it and I also updated your water cooling to a push pull fan one. They will be cooling down the radiator so you need that.

Also the PSU to a XFX 850w PSU wich will be enough if and when you add your second card for SLI. If you go on line you can see what my case looks like. Another reason I chose that case for you.

Is becaus it has feet to lift it up so you get good air flow and when your PSU is on the bottom of the case that will be a good thing. I love my case and there is so much room to add stuff even if I want to water cool my cards.

Not these one's but when ever I can afford a new one. What I did was I went ot Cyber power and did the same thing you did but I copied the list and set out to buy my own stuff and put it together my self.

Mine at the time would have cost me $1800.00 and I put it together for around $1500.00. But it is up to you on what you want to do. I hope this has helped and good luck to you and your new rig.

I really appreciate your answer, would you recommend buying from cyber power or ibuypower? and thats actually exactly the case i wanted to get! so you dont think i will need all the other extra hardware i said in my first post?

Will i need more watts for the sound card?

I also have another question, when i get the computer shipped to me, will the graphics card already be configured for and updated? cuz i rememebr when i installed my last GPU i had to use a normal CRT monitor to install the updates cuz the HDMI cord didnt work directly out of the box until i updated?

Also since this is my first computer being shipped to me, how will i install the 1TB harddrive i already have and use it instead of the default? Ive heard of people using separate HD's but have never done it myself, i just dont want to be confused come the time the comp is in my hands!!

Yes im a noob.

Both sites have there pros and con's. The difference in the two sites is Cyberpower has more to choose from then Ibuy power. I used Cyberpower to get my list of stuff. But it is up to you.

You know when they put sound in the MOBO is just as good as a card in my opinion. It is the speakers that count. Yes when you rig arrives it will play right out of the box. Just follow the instructions.

There is enough space in side the case to put 10 hard drives. If you are going to put your HDD in the new rig. Then try to get the cheapist HDD you can with out windows loaded since you have it on your HDD now.

Lets say you have them do the hard drive with windows on it and you want to add your HDD. Remember the hot dock on top all you have to do is pop it in that is it and it would be that simple.

I went to Cyber power and did a rig for you. It does have my case to start with but you can change anything you want but you won't be able to save it so you would have to write it all down.

I gave you the 850w PSU because it is enough for everything including a sound card. But if you want a 1000w the thermaltake tough power one is a good PSU. You might want to look at a fancontroller.

It will display your temp time of day has a alarn so when you temps get to hot it sound plus you can trun on and off certian fans in side the rig. It looks like a raido on the front of your rig.

If you click on the item you are slecting becaus when you click on the button for the item you want you will see a small pic of it on the left of where you click. Then click on the pic and it show you all that you need to know about it.

Just look here and see what I did. I did not put the 1000w PSU in and the fan control and I only gave you 8 gigs of ram. It is cheaper to buy ram from somebody other than them.

Let me know what you think and good luck..

Great, i love the advice, ill probly still go with Ibuypower just cuz i know my way around the site more, but i will look into the things you said

That is good and I hope between both sites you can put together a good system that will you will be able to enjoy for a few years. Once you get the a big case then you can put just about anything in it.

Plus you will be able to upgrade and still have most of the parts so you don't have to spend a lot more money to get another system. Both Cyberpower and ibuypower have the same format as how to build you own.

The only difference is Cyberpower has more stuff to choose from. But maybe Cyberpower might be a bit more on the price. I don't know for sure. Anyway I am glad you are going to get a nice rig. Good luck to you.

So you think i should get the thermaltake armor revo for a case?

If you get a full case with the hot dock on it plus it has legs on the bottom then if the thermaltake reve has that then yes get it. Sooner or later you will want to go to full water cooling.

You will need as much room as you can get. When I upgrade my GPU's I am going to water cool them both and do a different water cool for my CPU. The trick to air flow in the case is have nothing blocking it.

Also have fans that exhaust and pull in. My case has a total of 7 fans. 3 intake and 4 exhaust. Push pull out the back one exhaust at the bottom and one at the top. One intake in front and one on the side and one on top.

My case has very good air flow and my temps are always low. Now to the hot dock on top of my case. I can take any hard drive from any of my other rigs and I can put it in the hot dock.

It is like I have instaled another hard drive. I love it that way I can transfer info between my rigs. Or if I want to get a good hard drive plug it in and save everything to it then store it away.

Well I hope this answers your question and good luck to you.

You also said since i have a hard drive to not buy one with windows on it, but i looked thru the software on ibuypower and it would only save me 20 bucks so im just gonna get the default 2tb HD. it says preformatted, is that just default windows, nothing special? adn you said anything thats SATA will fit, i bought my computer last year from best buy i have no idea if its sata... im sorry man im a huge noob

The SATA hard drives have been out for a long time. My dell from 2010 has a SATA hard drive so I don't think you will have any problems. They do make adaptors to make the IDE hard drives match the SATA drives.

The hard drive from my other 2005 Dell optiplex had a SATA in it. I also had a few old hard drives laying around that I wanted info from and bouth a lot of different types of adaptors so I could hook them up.

To retrieve the info and it work just fine. You can put what ever windows on the two TB hard drive as long as you have the CD key. Then you can add your hard drive in the case and anytime you want to play a game.

It will be on your desk top. I had to put Age of Empires III on my old XP windows hard drive and I put it into my rig now and when I want to play I just click on the icon and it gets the info from that hard drive.

The reasonI had to put on the old hard drive with XP is because I would not play on my hard drive with win 7. I don't know why either. Just one of those things you can never explain but it works.

Let us know how everything works out and good luck.
