cpu and motherboard compatability

What you must understand, is that Intel and AMD have different sockets - AMD processors contain pins on the chip that go into the motherboard, while Intel has the opposite. You cannot mix and match the two brands; a motherboard built for a intel chip must be only used with a intel chip, and vice versa.

Grapez is right. Not only that the model you have listen is a notebook and most of the parts are integrated. The CPU can be integrated on some models.

The best upgrade you could make for a notebook is swapping out the hard drive for a solid state disk drive.

I am looking at the spec of this pc and its pretty good for a notebook. Any particular reason why you want to upgrade?

No, you have a laptop. You cannot exchange parts in it, other than the hard drive and ram. Yes you can change the hdd
