CPU and Motherboard compatibility

I would like to purchase a i7 4790s processor and I need to know if it's compatible with the ASRock H110M-HDV I already own. I would also like to know if $225 is to much to pay for this CPU and if it would be worth it to just buy a newer i7 6700.

4790 is LGA1150 socket (haswell) and the h110m is LGA1151 (skylake) so you can only use an i7-6700 and other skylake cpus.

The i7 4790s is LGA 1150 socket. The mobo you have(H110) is LGA 1151 socket. Get an i7 6700(LGA 1151 socket).
