CPU bottleneck on BF1 and V help?!

BF1 and V cpu bottleneck on my i54690k, any ideas on what i can do? If upgrading is the only real option any recommendations to what cpu and will i need to change things like mobo and ram etc?

bf1 and bf V likes hyperthreading, so maybe a used i7 4th generation cpu... are you getting minute stutters?
what resolution and gpu do you have?

What’s your full pc spec?

Those games and many modern AAA games are known to max out quad core CPU’s even 60fps and sometimes less.

You could look at going for a 4790k which will help by giving hyperthreading but it’s still getting old and you may be better investing in a modern platform. However any modern platform will require new cpu/motherboard/RAM. What you pick depends on your needs and budget. What resolution and Hz is your monitor?

Yeah minute stuttering is an issue ive noticed as well as generally low fps, GPU i have a 1070 gtx asus strix 8gb, how much would it generally cost have new modern setup: mobo ram cpu? Just a ball park figure for a mid range setup which would stop the bottlenecking

£500-£600 can get you something really good with lots of headroom for the future. You can spend less, say £400.

My 7700k struggles with BFV a bit. Sometimes holding back my 1080ti at 1440p. What resolution are you playing at? At 1080p the 1070 might still be held back by a 4790k but it would be a definite improvement.

i play at 1080p but wanna try and get 144 fps due to my 144hz monitor
