[SOLVED] CPU cable from power supply

Aloha. It’s been a long time since I’ve built a pc. I’m stuck at the cpu cable from the power supply. The cpu inputs on the motherboard have a 4 pin and a 8 pin input. The CPU cable from the power supply is 2 4 pin connectors. Do I plug the 2 4 pin connectors from power supply into the 8 pin next to each other?

the power supply. Evga 700 g

motherboard. Aoros z390 pro wifi

Yup they go next to each other. The other 4 is for oc'ing.

Combine both 4 pins and put them into the single 8 pin slot.

The extra 4 pin is for extreme overclocking. It will ALMOST never be needed for a mild overclock.
