My computer was working completely fine, no issues or anything. I had another computer that had a strange problem of not turning on. I figured I'd salvage the CPU as It was better than the current one. I have the stock mobo the Lenovo h430 comes with, and an i3-2120 in it. Th cpu I was putting in was an i5-2500s. I put it in the PC and applied thermal paste accordingly. Matched everything up and than powered it on. Powered on without display. I figured oh well; I'll just put my old one back in, end a up that it broke my PC or something because the cpu that was working 15 minutes earlier did the same no display thing. I am very upset as I'm 14 and cant afford a new PC. Please help me.

If you are lucky, maybe the BIOS messed something up while booting with a different CPU and all you need is a CMOS reset to clear that up.

Otherwise, double-check that everything is plugged in correctly. While swapping out the CPU, you may have nudged components like DIMMs and cables loose. If you unplugged anything, you may have forgotten to plug it back in. With some luck, no actual damage was done.

If everything is plugged in correctly, then it may be potentially more troublesome issue such as bending pins in the CPU socket at some point during the CPU swaps or even worse, ESD while handling loose parts killing something on the board or the CPU.
