Cpu changed magically

I had i5-6600k now i checked and its magically changed to i5-6500 how is that possible? I checked in bios did i got scammed?

scammed :/ btw there doesnt exist a i5-6500k only a i5-6600k close to it. i wonder how much you paid for it.

Yes but is it possible to have i5-6500 and make bios show i5-6600k?

you can try getting a third opinion from cpu-z. just download the software and see what it tells you.
