Hello everyone, I have a little pesky problem with my rig right now. Its the issue of my CPU clock chopping it self by two when a game launches. I did disable cool and quite by amd and disabled turbo on the bios. The temperatures are 50C said core temp and a multimeter with a thermal couple. Any fix for this?
Cpu:AMD APU 7400k
Memory: 4gb (2x2) Microcenter generic
Hdd: 250gb
Operating system: Windows 7

Solution
cTDP function : disabled
C6 Mode : disabled
APM : disabled

in windows -> power plan -> maximum performance

If these doesn't solve it then its heat related and you might want to take a look at the cpu cooler and if its well mounted.

If you're overclocking then none of the above apply!

Both programs; Core Temp and CPUZ are giving me the same clock speed for the CPU
Motherboard is a Gigabyte F2A58-HD2

Ok, that did not work. Well I found more information. When the IGPU gets a load such as a game, furmark. Even if the CPU is at idle, the CPU clock speed is chopped in half. Don't know exactly why the IGPU is doing that. Eh, well I will just have to get a proper GPU like a 750ti.
