I have an ASUS P6T motherboard and I just install the i7 920 on it, but my question is: Do I need thermal compound on this one or not ??

Can someone help me please???

Still, spending $3 on a tube of TX-2 or something certainly is worth it.

You must have already installed a CPU cooler - which one are you using?
What idle and load temps are you getting?

The thermal paste that comes with your cooler is just fine. Some of them even come with Arctic silver already applied.

I just assembled my pc and checking the temps in PROBE II the cpu is on 59 and the mobo is on 63.

I have 3x120 mm fans coming with the case. I am using the SpinQ cpu cooler and I used the thermal paste coming with it.

What I did wrong ???
