I have a Intel i7 4790k 'Devils Canyon' Quad Core Processor at 4.4GHz and looking for a new CPU cooler for my system either air or water and was wondering if you guys would kindly recommend some CPU coolers which would do the job nicely.

I've looked at the Corsair H100i and the Be quiet Dark Pro 3 which have been recommended by friends but if you guys have anything better to recommend please do so.

Also if you guys don't mind would kindly recommend a silent case as well that would be greatly appreciated. I have 3 in mind the NZXT H440, Fractal Design R5 and the Be Quiet Silent Base 800 but if you have any better recommendations please do so and thank you in advance for the help.

I have the Define R5. I like it, but it has some flaws. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/270777-fractal-design-define-r5-review/ - My review of it.

Cooler, I am a fan of air coolers, and especially in the Define R5, you either compromise silence, or you have absolutely no space for rads. I would go for a Noctua NH-U14s or the NH-D15. If it is out of budget, the Hyper 212 Evo is still great, I still had decent temps near 1.3v.

Thanks for the reply mate great review on the case there. I have also watch linustechtips video about the case and also looks great from that no many people fault it.

That's the point I'm drawn between at the moment but I do think I will go for the more silenced approach as the system I have now is on the louder side. Thank you for the recommendation on the Noctua NH-U14s and HN-D15 both have good reviews from looking around on the internet and in the perfect budget range of what I'm wiling to spend also a nice looking cooler Ill keep this one in mind. Thanks again for the recommendation.

One more thing mate if you don't mind I saw you have the Asus Maximus VII Ranger Motherboard I have just bought this myself but am yet to use it as I haven't built my new system yet whats it like?

It looks absolutely beautiful, but don't ever install their gamefirst. It really slows down downloads. It messes up.
I really like their realtek supremefx audio. You have so much control, and the virtual surround... yum.
AISuite is lovely as well.
I got it on sale, mainly why I got it. I haven't found any cons yet. Other than with me, that the usb 3.0 simply wont go out. Tried multiple times. It is literally stuck in there. I don't know why, but I wont blame the hardware.

Also, about the case. For the moduvents on top, watch a tutorial of how to take them off. Already broke 4 plastic clips while I was curios about how it worked.

That's great to here mate mine arrives tomorrow then hopefully I can get to building it. Alright mate ill keep that in mind but cant you just simply uninstall gamefirst? Also cant you just turn off gamefirst as well?
Yeah I havent seen any cons about the motherboard as of yet the only one thing I saw was about installing AI Suite some people have had problems doing so but apart from that everything seems great about this board.
As you said the amount of control you are given and what I've seen from reviews and read about is incredible.

Thanks for the tip mate ill be sure to find a tutorial on how to do so.
